Wellwood International Elementary School

Wellwood International is an elementary school located in the northwestern part of Baltimore County. Our school offers a rich and diverse educational experience for children in grades K-5. We are focused on student achievement.

Wellwood hosts children from over thirty different countries! Our international population helps to provide our students with a multicultural environment that reflects today's world. We offer ESOL instruction for approximately eighty students across all grades.

Students in our French Immersion Magnet Program spend a portion of their school day immersed in French language. There is one French class in each grade level. Students not in the Immersion Program receive 60 minutes of French instruction every week.

Pikesville Middle School

The Pikesville Middle staff believes every student has unique talents and interests. Students are challenged and enriched in state-of-the-art classrooms to support our commitment to academic excellence. High expectations for excellence in character, academics and leadership are vital in this stimulating and nurturing learning environment. All students are empowered to achieve the highest academic standards necessary to become resilient and innovative citizens. Our students regularly receive awards for outstanding academic and artistic accomplishments. A dynamic partnership among students, parents, staff members, and the community is critical to our exceptional student achievement. We celebrate strong parent and community support led by our PTA.

Pikesville’s strong academic program is complimented by enriching co-curricular activities. Our expansive after-school program addresses the unique talents and interests of our diverse student population. Our mission and vision serve to remind us that our job for improving Pikesville Middle is never-ending. The staff and students of Pikesville Middle School are diligently committed to the pursuit of excellence.

Pikesville High School

Pikesville High School is a small suburban high school with an enrollment of 876 students. Our student body is racially diverse and representative of the county at large. We offer a college-bound curriculum with elective courses in the major content areas for students who want to explore specialized learning. Courses are offered at the standard, honors, and gifted levels in ninth grade. We offer Advanced Placement World History in the tenth grade and a selection of an additional 19 Advanced Placement courses for juniors and seniors.

Pikesville High School’s PSAT/SAT scores surpass state and national averages. We use PSAT results as a marker to encourage students to take more rigorous courses as they proceed through high school. It is our belief that encouraging rigor at the high school level is the best preparation for success in college. Our AVID program supports student achievement and AVID strategies are used throughout the school.

In addition, we offer all the sports sponsored by Baltimore County Public Schools and over thirty after school clubs to enhance the high school experience.
